Yeah, good question. If you wanna play with controller, get it on XBOX. It's a lot less hassles that way...

That would require purchasing an xbox, when he already has a PC (assumption)
You are able to setup the keys/joystick as far as i know.

I'm using the controller and I prefer it to the keyboard, but the mouse is still necessary for quick combat.
It's a shame they don't list what button does what, I had to figure it out myself but it's about the same as any other FPS I played.

i never could get use to playing fps games on a controller...

I use a mouse with one hand and controller in the other, works for me. This game is mostly about driving anyway so using the controller makes more sense.
