What is the farm worth before and after attacks?

This is the reason why it should be viewed as a priority crime.
Not because farmers are more important than other people(although the guy that feeds you are pretty important), but because a certain section of society is killed disproportionally to the rest.

Did any of you know that December 1st is apparently a national day of protest against farm attacks?

National day of protest
A national day of protest against farm murders will be held on 1 December
2012. A memorandum demanding that farm murders be declared a priority
crime will be handed to at least 100 police stations countrywide. Local
communities are to present these memorandums. At the same time, protest
meetings will be held in Pretoria and Bloemfontein. A memorandum
addressed to the Minister of Police will also be handed over at this event.

I'd imagine a little less given the history but I'm sure there'll be a buyer through shortly. If somebody is murdered in a house is it demolished?

You want them to do something about it? lol... they actually want it to happen. The whites are just a thorn in their side. When they are all gone, then the corruption and looting can go on totally unhindered.

I agree 100%. It goverment cared an inch, they could have deployed the SANDF, coppers etc, enable the farmers etc. This is just look the other way, while they spend our tax money.

What about all the other crime victims? We all pay out of our own pocket for armed response security, alarm systems, CCTV systems etc.

Agreed.

And this approach should be applied to violent crims all across the spectrum; not only farm attacks.

They had the commandos and it was disbanded.
A farm size make it difficult to have electric fences and the volumes of people required makes it impossible. Should a farm have a ADT depo on each of them?

Townships has police stations and satilite stations in them.
Why would the police retrench 9000 members? We all agree we need more.
The army currently is costing the tax payer millions and doesn't do much do they?
Why not get the commandos up and running again?

Weren't the commandos heavily involved with the AWB/Volksfront?

EDIT: Just to add, I have no issue with the establishment of a special division of the police being set up as commandos as long as they don't have any of the old bad blood. Then again, it will probably be argued that the new force is corrupt and will only add to the problem. Quite a catch 22.
