Farm Attacks

So 10 years ago, in a crime stricken country and there is not one news article(by the media who loves to distort facts) on this over a span of 3650 days?
So I am supposed to trawl all of the obscure little sites for a hit that may or may not be phrased in such a way as to be findable? Are you gonna pay me for all that effort?

So let me explain this to you, if you catch a criminal with your bicycle, the police get involved, you say "the guy stole my bike", the police can't just throw him in jail for a decade, they must investigate first and their investigation finds it likely he did it, it goes to court. Obviously the criminal can say something else and the police must investigate that, or must they just take his word and throw you in jail for 20 years?
Sometimes yes it happens that the victim gets put in holding, expecially if the criminal happens to have a ANC or EFF membership card on his person. Note I did not say convicted I said charged, most of those charges get retracted or "lost" after a period of intimidation.

The ONLY way such instances could make it to any kind of news site in the first place is if they actually went to trial.

Community news sites would have.
The only actual news site I can remember with such accounts was run by a guy that went nuts eventually.... also the site died with his sanity. Most other sites I am aware of are too scared of placing such unofficial word of mouth items because of the volatile political nature. I actually remember a few people who were fired for "unhappy news" from larger sites though I can't remember their names.

If the one's intimidating you are the local cops.... would you REALLY be so eager to go public especially if you cannot afford the needed lawyers?

You agree it's not word of mouth if someone was charged, isn't it?

It is if the charge dockets conveniently disappeared. Or there were only temporary threats of charges to begin with. Intimidation does not actually require courts except to make examples.

Another example is certain cops that cruise for whites late night, anyone white driving alone gets pulled over and harassed & robbed by the cops, which has led to people randomly speeding to the nearest police station as soon as a cop-car tries to make them pull over. Most in some areas just dont drive in the dark not for fear of criminals but of the police. This I think actually has been reported on in the past but I completely forget where.

Again to many my "wild claims" are old news.... these forums just happen to have many people stuck in their little bubbles who think the real world gets reflected in the media and there are not many things that "simply don't get talked about" except as low key warnings out of nowhere sometimes with an added "but you did not hear this from me".

Then again there is also the "debrief" that family springs on you if you come for a visit where they sit you down and lay out the unwritten rules as if that kind of life is normal and you are naive for not realizing it.... personally I don't care if I ever goto Pretoria again the place is serious.

The men were on the run for three months before they were tracked down.

Cape Town - The widow of wine farmer Stefan Smit, who was shot execution-style on June 2 while having supper at his Stellenbosch wine estate home, stands to receive around R3.5 million. A reliable source confirmed that Zurenah Smit, 53, was the beneficiary of millions from life insurance polices that had left her “well cared for”. “Stefan definitely did not cut his wife off financially,” said the source, adding the exact amount of the payout was being calculated
BIG red flag for me RIGHT there .........

Not all red flags have communists attached to them, not all smoke is from fires..... but it is suspicious enough.

Being a farmer, and here a wine farmer, it's obvious you'll have a decent life policy. 3.5mill is peanuts.
