“Around 1am this morning the three suspects broke into the farmhouse of an elderly couple in the Bylsteel area near Dendron. During the violent altercation, the lady was raped and shot in the leg and her husband was seriously assaulted with pipes. They were taken to a hospital in Polokwane by helicopter and are in a serious, but stable condition. A 96-year-old woman who was also in the house, was spared any physical injuries."

Animals. Should have shot AND killed all three terrorists.​

They are not terrorists - they are vermin that should be exterminated.
Society must be protected from rabid animals.
The right thing to do is to put them down.

Biology 101 -- remove the predator/s from the ecosystem.

We used to have that, in the good old days.

Plenty training can be done. My better half and I are going to do a tactical course on how to deal with a home invasion if both of us are armed. We should all be arming ourselves, learning how to use these arms effectively and role playing scenarios.

I sound like a bit of a nut. But I have had guns pointed at me too many times.

Bulk of us are for the death penalty, I am sure even many ANC supporters are pro-death penalty at this point based on how many suspects are victims of mob justice.

As for the death penalty, you need a trustworthy law enforcement and justice system, something we can't make a claim to.

They killed her in front of her children - father of pregnant woman murdered on KZN farm


Zakiyyah Ahmedjan Ismail, 26, a pregnant KZN mother, was killed in cold blood in front of her two young children during a home invasion at her farm in Weenen and the three masked attackers fled - empty-handed.

This is according to her grieving father, 72-year-old Abdulgaffar Ahmedjan, who spoke out about the incident on Tuesday and said the loss caused his family inconsolable grief.

"They beat him so badly. He was helpless. What could he do against three of them? They were even kicking the children when they tried to go to Zakiyyah," said Ahmedjan.

He said they pleaded with the intruders to take money and his daughter tried to protect her children.

"That is when they grabbed her and attacked her, killing her right there in front of them. They never took the money. They took her life instead. They never took anything, and we can't understand why," the distraught father said.

Zakiyyah's throat was slit, police said.

Suspect shot dead after wounding farmer who was a witness in another case against the attacker

A 21-year-old man, shot dead on a farm in Oudedorp near Potchefstroom on Friday night, was suspected of having gone to the farm to kill a witness in another farm attack that the suspect was involved in.

According to police, the suspect, who had been identified as Koane Potlaki, first allegedly accosted a police officer and robbed him of his service pistol before going to the farm in the North West.

Once on the farm, he approached a group of farmworkers near a water tank.

Ambushing the workers, he forced them to phone the farmer to tell him that their vehicle wasn't working, in an attempt to get the farmer to come to the water tank, Marius Muller, the national operations coordinator for safety at AfriForum said. As the farmer arrived at the water tank, Koane allegedly opened fire, hitting the 32-year-old farmer in the chest. The farmer returned fire, killing Potlaki on the scene.

Husband and wife killed in Normandien farm attack

The couple are believed to have been ambushed at the entrance to their farm.

A husband and wife were shot and killed last night (August 29), during a farm attack in the Normandien area.

According to official sources, Glen and Vida Rafferty returned home to their farm at around 10.30pm last night, where they were overpowered and slain by a group of attackers at the entrance to the property. The attackers then fled the scene in the couple’s vehicle. It is believed the Rafferty’s dog was also shot.
