Farm Attacks

I live and work on a farm (have for the last 12 years), and even I'm getting to the point where I don't give a ****. Unless I know the victim personally or it happened at a farm close to me, I don't even read the articles anymore. Reason being that will all this genocide paranoia and possible fake crap like this. Idiots like this hijacks a very valid concern and try to use it to further their own agendas.

Precisely this.

PROVENANCE

Those in the business know the difference.
That thing will knock out comms for about 5km
If you are caught with one it's jail time
The civilian versions do not cover the frequencies this one does.
It would help tremendously if the "Marine" could indicate WHERE and WHEN the image was captured ?

I am not being difficult here as must confess to having to support the Marine in his observations
Having also been told about the use of these devices
Whether the information I was supplied was accurate or not and if it was done in good faith or not I cannot say
However the information was imparted by some very highly placed and knowledgeable people

What would help (apart from the provenance of the CCTV image ) -- seeing as the Marine knows all about -- end user certificates -- would be to identify the precise make and model of the device in the image.

On it's own the image provides NO PROOF of the SA government being involved ....

Should some brave person capture or kill the perps involved -- we may then have the opportunity to become somewhat wiser .....

with so many military places being burgled(or just mugged:crylaugh:), its a suprise there are not more of these things spotted.

but then theres also, "i'll leave the door unlocked, afterwards we say it was a burglary, cant have this coming back here"

Valid Question.

But what amazes me is how people get over-critical on that kind of issue, when they're just not doing the same on certain other issues.

I found some more info here:

You must be some kind of black ops farmer if thugs are using Military grade equipment to get to you.

The writer (I wouldn't call that a journalist by any stretch of the imagination) seems very familiar with these issues.

In the photo they have a signal jammer. They also wear gloves and balaclavas. They were also well kitted with backpacks.

For all we know, they could have snacks in their backpacks. Since when having a backpack is being "well kitted"? :wtf:

Funny enough, there's obviously no information on the attack itself...

Unfortunately there is no information on where this farm attack occurred but it is scary how well they are equipped to attack farms.

Are network providers not able to pick up on this sort of disturbance in the network ?

ACloete that website offers NO further info than has already been offered in this thread - including a link to that exact webpage. Did you read any of it?

That webpage itself states "Unfortunately there is no information on where this farm attack occurred but it is scary how well they are equipped to attack farms." - i.e. even they do not know if this is a farm attack; nor if the picture is of a farm attack, nor even if this was taken on a farm. The picture is anonymous and could come from anywhere.
