Farm Attacks

You guys are aware of the fact that government tampers with crime statistics. Been in the news a few times in the past. How do you know you can trust any of that statistics? I know I won't trust it 100%.

no you see, the stats are real, people just exaggerate vs reality :D

A family living in a smallholding near Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal lives in fear "day and night" after about 300 people in the community occupied their land illegally.
The FF Plus said on Friday that the occupiers apparently stole goats, sheep, chickens and tools while two police officers and an ANC councilor simply stood and watched.
"The owner of the smallholding, Leon Ackerman, lives with his wife and other relatives who include children on the ground," said Lourie Bosman, the party's spokesperson on land affairs.
"The situation is currently very explosive and the family is threatened daily by people in the area who believe the family has given seven days to leave the ground. Today, the family is told that people from the area sign a petition saying they have time to leave their land for seven days. "
According to Bosman, these people told the family that the police had approved the petition and that the ANC in Pietermaritzburg would "make it legitimate".
"According to the Ackermans, about 300 people, armed with kieries and hijackers, occupied their land on Monday after a local ANC councilor allegedly urged them to do so."
Ackerman called the police on Dannhauser and appeared two police officers who apparently stood with the ANC councilor and watched the people robbed the buildings. More than 50 goats, sheep and chickens as well as equipment are allegedly carried away.
"Members of the police station at Dannhauser then apparently refused to accept a complaint and the family approached the local livestock unit for assistance. The cattle have been recovered last week and a number of people have been arrested. "
According to the Ackermans, these people were released later, allegedly commissioned by a senior police officer of the province.
"The FF Plus intervened this week by activating the local safety networks of farmers to help the Ackermans if necessary. The family will also be assisted to file a complaint with another police station as the police on Dannhauser still refuse to assist, and the leader of the FF Plus, Dr. Pieter Groenewald will take the matter at the highest level with the police. "
Bosman said these events underlined the ignorance currently under way on the ANC government's decision on unpaid expropriation and the extremely explosive situation created when this ignorance was exploited and inflicted by raging political statements.

Google translate 10/10. I have a feeling we will be hearing of a farm attack in this area soon.

I have no idea how legit Maroela Media is?

I've seen one or two credible news articles from them before.

I dunno. Will have to wait and see if someone else doesn't pick up the story.

I honestly don't know how many farmers have been killed but it's a lot, most are probably afrikaans. A day or two ago you said a certain person (I don't like him either) won't get into aus because the immigration forms are not in afrikaans, in doing so you stereotyped afrikaans people as dumb and not capable of communicating in another language. You got off scott free, some even laughed at your comment. Imagine you uttered the same thing about xhosas or zulus. Just a thought...

I stereotyped Adriana who is neither a farmer, neither likely to get into Australia but just a troll. It’s like trolling marine on Israel.

Knowing the line between satire and a real post could help you.

I do jokes about zulus in real life (and they don’t take offense) don’t know any about xhosas. I think that I should report every post about the french surrendering, it’s easily a hundred times more insulting than saying that one person cannot fill forms in English, what do you think?

What was the goal of your post apart from NOT answering to my post? When I make a factual post, I don’t get much answers suddenly.

Why question the source, can't you read?
There's no spin or opinion just reports on something that happened. Do you then think it is completely fake? That's ridiculous.

Read his comment again. He's not questioning anything.

To those who may question my motives, I want to make it clear one murder is one too many. Whether it's on a farm,
golf estate or informal settlement

He said he has no idea how legit they are. I was maybe a bit harsh, but I still don't see the issue around their legitimacy.

He's not questioning their legitimacy. Yes, your response was harsh

A 56-year-old man was shot through a bathroom window on Wednesday evening during an attack on a farm in Mpumalanga.
Ian Cameron, AfriForum's head of community safety, told Maroela Media on Thursday that the incident took place at a farm in the Balmoral area west of Witbank at about 22:10.
"Nico Minnie and his wife heard the dogs bark and investigated using a flashlight to shine through the windows," said Cameron.
He said there were suspected that at least three suspects were outside the house.
At one point the man shone from the bathroom window with the flashlight when a few shots were fired suddenly. Two bullets hit the house and one was hit by the bathroom window and Minnie in the hand and shoulder. "
The attackers then tried to enter the house at two different places. Minnie's wife called for help. "Their nearest neighbors responded quickly and arrived at home, after which the attackers flew on foot," added Cameron.
Paramedics were called what Minnie had taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Vosman police and the police's dog unit were also on the scene to search for the suspects.
According to Cameron, Minnie's 77-year-old father was attacked on the same farm in 2016, and he died because of his injuries three months after the incident.
Col. Provincial police spokesperson Mtsholi Bhembe confirmed the incident to Maroela Media on Thursday.
The Vosman police are investigating a case of attempted murder. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident. Nothing was robbed during the incident.

Shot by a bathroom window? Well thats it, I have been monitoring my bathroom windows for a while now and I always suspected the guest one to be a bit shady.

WTF are you on about?

Is it just poor reading skills or are you trying your best to trivialise the issue?
