What spike would that be? From 80 or 140 to 70 (AfriForum numbers)?

I doubt Malema is stupid enough to put himself in that precarious position. There are enough people outside to carry out such a mission if he ever wanted to go that route.

Investigating frivolous claims is a burden on already strained system. Let's hope there's recording of Malema walking into that prison.

Whatever suits your fancy. Just depends whose statistics you believe. So I take it there is no upswing in violent farm murders in the last decade. Its just a myth and smokescreen so lets stay with the status quo. In the same light I take it there is no drop in farmers and or white farmers at all over the same time period thus have no effect on this statistical trends at all. I must be dreaming then. Thanks for waking me, the country, and Afriforum.

You playing devil's advocate here and you know it. They have changed the way in which stats are collected for farm/small holdings. It was only now again changed from what I recall earlier this year. Around June. I might be wrong. But you can't use those stats to back up anything, there was no record kept of it distinguishing farm/small holding attacks from any other suburb or location.

You said the spike of murders, not of the murder rate so we speak of pure murders here, not rates.

Farm murders are calculated over farms AND small holdings, of which 520000 are small holdings. Overall, the reduction of commercial farms has very little impact over the total number.

I took exclusively AfriForum’s numbers.

I have no idea about the definition being changed but surely AfriForum would mention it in its report?

I saw the picture you quoted and it said South African Agricultural Union or something

Edit: My post was mostly aimed at Government stats
