the government and their supporters/apologisers consider heinous crime/murder to be normal crime, its normal for them for it to happen. acceptable.
to normal people its not so normal. normal people do not keep selecting these people to lead them.
hundreds of schools, roads, hospitals, libraries, etc. destroyed every year by rioting criminals, angry at the people they keep voting for as if something will change for them.
1 police car damaged during unrest over a heinous murder. all of a sudden its the same thing. dumb as mud.

I agree, but if things get really bad it will devolve into tribalism. Divide and conquer also suit our politicians so they'll encourage it.
