Farm Attacks

Land Reform by Countries
Land-to-the-tiller program transformed Taiwan
Zimbabwe made mistakes and is not the final word on land reform. You're clueless about the topic yet still bloviate about it.

Interesting.

Listening to the EFF and ANC, SA's land reform will more closely resemble that of Zim than that of Taiwan or Japan.

Looking at land reform of different countries, it seems to me that the biggest mistake in land reform is giving the land to non-farmers or letting people farm land which they don't own themselves.
What do you think Zim's mistake was?

Etc
Etc

Unless it is presented as a race attack, don't most news stories fall off into obscurity? Regardless of who it affects?

Even the Phoenix Massacre tag is still trending on Twitter, long after the riots.

The is privatization. The opposite of what the eff wants.

You just see the words land reform and ignorantly think all land reform is the same.

This example is selling state owned land to the local farmers.
The EFF wants to take land from the local farmer and have it managed by the state communist style. Exactly the system that this piece describes as bad.

Just FYI I not sure why you are so oppressed with following the ideas of an old dead German guy. It's a bit silly.
Show me where I state I'm a Marxist or EFF supporter? Just another example of psychosis. Where did i say all Land Reform is the same?

Zim's mistake was rushed land Reform with no proper support structure in place to support emerging farmers. This is due to naively trusting Britain to honor the Lancaster House Agreement and not being proactive.

Waiting for this one to appear in the main stream media aka News24, IOL, EWN.....

Maybe our Mycadre bunch can post the article.

I'll look, so long can you find this more news articles for this news story for me? It sounds similar:

Police detectives are investigating a case of murder that took place at 58-9th avenue Alexandra on September 21.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the deceased was found with stab wounds to the chest. The deceased was identified but no arrests have been made.

Another case that detectives are investigating is that of a person who was found lying in a pool of blood with a bullet wound to the head. A cartridge was found on the scene and the deceased was identified..

I couldn't find news on this one either

Police detectives are investigating a murder that took place in Alexandra on September 18.

According to Alexandra Police Station spokesperson, Sergeant Simphiwe Mbatha, the woman was stabbed in the left side of her chest. Mbatha said, ‘It is alleged that the deceased was sitting with her boyfriend who is the suspect outside J&L sorghum beer shebeen at 2nd Avenue Roosevelt drinking sorghum beer and as usual they had an argument.

“Suddenly the deceased told her friend that her boyfriend had stabbed her and then the deceased fell down and died right in front of her. The suspect then dragged the deceased from the steps where she fell down to where they were seated and the community members started to assault the suspect and he sustained injuries on his head and face. He was rescued by the arrival of the police.”

This one is so common I wonder why it even bothers getting reported.

I guess because there is no race angle, none of these people are important enough to get their own feature news story.

There are always 3 sides to a storey. My summary of Zim's land "reform" (farm invasion) is that the Lancaster House loot was stopped by the UK as ZANU PF (Mugabe) was diverting the money into their own pockets rather than do much reform (as now in SA with the ANC). Then with massive corruption as well as unemployment (SA style), farmers started threatening to support the MDC. Mugabe let Hitler Hunzvee (sp) and his "war veterans" loose to rape and pillage farms and farm workers, while the ZANU PF elites picked up some prime property for themselves (SA ANC style).

Then came the elections where, probably, ZANU PF lost, but fiddled the outcome with the ANC's (Mbeki) support. Cheers to Zim.
