Two of the men arrested in connection with the kidnapping case of Tony (73) and Jill (78) Dinnis have been let go.​

The couple went missing from their rented cottage at the Middelrus farm in Mooi River on August 27 and initially a missing persons case was opened.

However, after a ransom demand was received, police initiated a kidnapping case.

A suspect who was arrested and released in connection with the kidnapping of elderly Mooi River couple Tony (73) and Jill (78) Dinnis has been rearrested.

The 22-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Mooi River Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

With all the farm attacks, you have to be out of your mind to go to a farm you do not own and hunt animals you do not own. I can only see this as they were gunning for the farmer and he acted faster.
