Feeling more and more like the ANC are trying to give farmers, boers, whites an ultimatum.
It's true. Just look at Japan. No guns on the whole island and the cops arrest you for walking on the wrong side of the street.

I doubt that. It looks like government want a show down. The farmers are prepared to make a stand.
The Department of Agriculture's response to the volatile situation on farms - especially in North West province, following the death of the Afrikaner resistance leader Eugene Terre'Blanche - is to call on farmers to disarm.
While at last week's funeral of Eugene Terre'Blanche, countless white people were brandishing their firearms," said Agriculture Minister Tina Joemat-Peterson, "we appeal that they should comply with the government's campaign for a gun-free society.
"This will ensure that we prevent the emergence of volatile farming communities, but also all illegal firearms are handed to the authorities.
"We appeal for farm security services to be rendered through the police reserve service."
Joemat-Peterson told a media conference in Parliament on Tuesday that
since the April 1, soldiers have been deployed to patrol the borders, especially to curb stock theft and illegal cross-border movement of agricultural commodities.
"In this context we will also involve police reservists," she said.
She explained the deployment of troops on the borders, she said "We are concerned at the number of illegal goods compromising our sanitary and phyto-sanitary status."
Do the powers that be.......rather want the farmers to throw rocks at their gun toting attackers?
Or maybe quote some nice feel good verse from the bible?

i think a farmer would keep his weapon in a safer place then where he would keep the panga's that the workers use.
I guess the idea is that a white farmer brandishing a gun and yelling, "Fo k julle kaffírs, ek sal julle skiet!" might be mistaken for Steve Hofmeyer.
Clearly this call is in the interests of differentiating between farmers and idiots.
