Well I clearly have the worst results on this thread. +- 100 Mbps down. even without cache @ my ISP, that is low.
But my line is running @ about 600 Mbps local, so something is up.

Going to see if these Frogfoot upgrades below improve things.

If your ISP doesn't have local cache it will use their longhaul back to JHB where the Netflix pop is, and that is probably where the bottleneck is. Not many providers have lots of longhaul available as it's quite expensive.

@atomic are going to implement caching which should sort this out going forward.

Unrelated to the fast test, the Frogfoot backbone updates did make a difference to normal local speed tests. Hitting the highest its ever been, high 800's.

The cache thing is a big deal. I am watching Netflix running 4k on my Apple TV on Cool Ideas 100 Mbps line today.
Its as if the server is on my lan.

Pretty impressive I must say.
