I am experiencing odd behaviour on my ADSL line. The ping time and upload speeds are as fast as always, but I'm only getting download speeds on 10 - 20kbps. Yes, that's kilo bits per second.

I would post my speedtest tests, but the site isn't even loading properly now.

I am in Meyerspark Pretoria.

Please help

Hi

Please drop me a PM with your account info and I will look into this matter for you.

Could you perhaps run a trace route to www.google.co.za and post the results here?
To run the trace route, open up Command Prompt and type the following, followed by <ENTER>:
tracert www.google.co.za

You can then right-click in the Command Prompt window and then select all the text and then copy & paste it into a post.

Lastly, could you also have a look at your modem's ADSL line stats? (eg attenuations, SNR/noise margins & line speeds)

tracert www.google.co.za

I replaced my IP address with the stars.
My router stats haven't changed.

Are you using a wireless connection to your ADSL modem? If so, could you please repeat the tests with a cable connection.

From the trace route it doesn't look like your exchange/DSLAM is congested, but for some reason you're having heavy packet loss.

Could you please post your router's stats, even though you say it hasn't changed?
