Faster loading IE

I hate freakin' home pages some people have set up on their PC's and some take ages to load. A quick tweak for IE so it loads to a blank page and a clear address bar.

R-click on your IE shortcut
Properties
Change Target: to - "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" -nohome

Remember a single space between .EXE" and -nohome

Does not require restart.

This way you don't have to delete anything before typing your URL. All the milliseconds add up, this could add a day to your life ..........

I rarely type there, I finally learned to use Favorites.

Admittedly, others may benefit from your way...

Question, does the cursor automatically flicker in the adress bar your way?

Unfortunately not, there might be a flaw in my reasoning, but not untill I say so.

because if it says "about: Blank" and you click with the mouse in the adress bar the about: blank gets hightlighted and as soon as you type gets wiped out.
