Faster than a Bugatti Veyron and almost twice the price - that's the ultra-exclusive, 750kW, Koenigsegg CCXR Edition, Europe's fastest production car yet.

On October 30 the carbon fibre-bodied, biofuel-burning supercar will have its UK debut at London's Earls Court in a performance auto show.

The car launches to 100km/h in 2.9sec and has a top speed of more than 400km/h.

The 4.8-litre, V8 Koenigsegg CCXR Edition is the latest in a long line of supercars from the Swedish automaker and has a ÂŁ1.5-million (about R22.5-million) sticker price but, because it burns bio-fuel, you'll feel better knowing you won't The V8 Koenigsegg is the latest from the Swedish automaker

Is this the follow up to the one Clarkson was saying needed some downforce on the backend to reach its true potential? The one and only time Stig lost it on the track?

Anyway, looks like it's been fixed. That's crazy!

ya but bugatti is 2.4 secs to 100 :)

and you must realise on that top 10 list most of those are claimed speeds ? i can claim my 1.6 alfa does 490Km/h, so therefore it must be the fastest car in the world ? has it ever done it? nope

0 - 100 means jack **** in reality, it's an old measurement of how fast cars are... with most cars today I prefer a 0 - 200 time, or with these cars, 0 - 300 times...

Yes because we do drive 300km/h most places  :p

Watch Koenigsegg crash and burn due to the credit meltdown. The ultra expensive car market is one of the first things to collapse when a financial crisis hits.
