Faster updates for LG smartphones

Would be nice for any updates, every other OEM you get maybe two before they cut you off. LG here's one, 2 years ago, you want security updates uhmm no.
I mean they promised at least 7 on LG G4 and what happened.

My K10 2017 got a security update a year after I bought it. I was naive and thought it was a "major" (minor) software update of 7.0 to 7.1, supposedly I'll get the 8.0 update, though I will probably have a new device by then at the speed that they're rolling out software updates.

It will also be my last LG device I think, South Africa got a cut-down version and the bootloader is locked so I can't root it, going to do better homework for my next phone. It's sad as the G5 is quite nice, think I'll get an older flagship with LineageOS possibilities at one point.

G4 is/was funny as they just passed the 2 year mark before dropping security patches for it.

Yeah the G4 also has a locked boot loader
