Hi guys, long story here.

Am staying at an accommodation facility, am in urgent need of a free stable WiFi connection.
The owner of the premises, understands this and he's well aware that I'm a fairly knowledgeable person, and let me scope around the Fastnet Equipment, used for a Telkom Hotspot, just to see if there was a way to get an internet connection.

The equipment consists of a standard issue D-Link Telkom Wireless modem, a backup 3g modem, )should the Telkom ADSL line go down apparently), and a switch, and a wireless router screwed to the ceiling). There's three of those throughout the building, and I was shown all of them. When I plugged my laptop into the Ethernet port of the modem, (I disconnected the Ethernet cable, which connected to the other contractions, DHCP supplied me with a IP address, a Gateway, but still no internet. The same when I attached the Ethernet cable to a switch. I didn't fiddle around with the modem admin page, as I don't want to bring the whole network down.

I need to get an internet connection soon.

Thanks
