Hi all.
A client has been having an issue with his laptop blue screening whenever he opens Office.
Client is running Office 2010, and one of the things which I could do is convince him to upgrade, but want to make dead certain there are no other underlying issues at play which could get progressively worse over time.
HD Senteniel is reporting issues with his SSD, please see the screenshot.

Unsure if this is a laptop issue, (connection to the drive) or a bad SSD.

Please can someone advise.
Thanks

Anycase, is it consistently when he opens office and just office?
I would start off with replacing that SSD even if it is not the cause.

How long is a piece of string.
It could well be the reason, seems likely.
But I mean you can come back and be upset that you replaced it and the problem persists.

Kind of what you get paid to figure out as a technician...

I'd probably try another SSD but not at the customers expense.
As a repair person for a laptop, I expect the technician to have an SSD available they can test with.

It might be worth a shot to uninstall office, get rid of all it's associated folders and data afterwards and then reinstall.. presumably the reinstalled office would be installed to a different sector of the drive.. if blue screen stops, you found your culprit at no expense other than 30 minutes of uninstall and reinstall..
