Sorry if this is the wrong section, could not find anything more suitable.
I watch FTA tv on SES 5 and am suddenly getting very intermittent pixelisation. Maybe every 2 or 3 minutes some large blocks run across the screen.
My signal strength is 74% and quality 80% which should be very adequate as far as I can tell.
I am trying to find the fault as I find it very irritating, but am not to technically savvy with this.
I have been checking my dish alignment, cabling and actually managed to improve my signal strength by 3% by slightly better alignment of the dish.
I appreciate that the problem could originate from various sources, even the HDMI connection to the TV or perhaps the TV itself and have eliminated some.
The LNB is fairly old now and shows a lot of sun damage and cracking, how do I test it or just replace?
Has anyone got any idea how to find a fault like this?
Thanks
