Hi all, new iBurst (lluser here.

Have the UTD, it fails to connect, swited on, it seems to try connect (LEDs flashing, all go on then I get the magenta + orange with no signal LEDS).

The weird thing is, the modem drops out of device manager while this is happening, is this normal for it to not appear on device manager while the modem can't find signal?

It's attached via USB btw.
Oh, and I'm from Durban, using the Glenwood tower I think.

Thanks.

Hmmm... prob normal not sure exactly though, But sounds like you don't have any signal try a different place... each meter counts Height is important and so are obstacles, Windows or outside is much better. Try an arial. If none work Can it.

Mmm I've tried all spots to get reception save for going up on the roof and waving to the aliens :)

I just find it quite odd that despite getting bad / no signal that the modem keeps dropping from device manager.

If I watch device manager I can see it, then I can't then I can.. yoyo time.

It did this once before and was fine after, I'm actually borrowing the work modem (to do some work at home on a firewall) but this happened at work too once, then it was fine the next day.

Try the ethernet option ... I found it generally worked better ... And if you keep getting net cable disconnected then faulty modem PS try the roof;)
