Hi.

Our whole street struggles with bad ADSL line speeds.

I have heard from 2 different Telkom technicians that the problem is with an underground cable connecting our distribution box.

How do I get Telkom to fix the underground cable?

Which area you in?

have the same problem. autt is at 63.5.

All depends what the fault is , if there is a physical fault then just report your phone faulty .
If on the other hand it is a SNR problem i doubt they will do any thing as those old cables were not designed for ADSL .

Hi. I had the same issue. Cable got struck by lightning apparently. I contacted the reps on My Broadband and phoned the call centre every single day. Took just under a year to get fixed. They first have to get the muncipality to approve the digging of the ground and then it's a contractor to put in the cable and then it's Telkom tech who has to connect the cable to the box. This is what I was told. So it's probably going to be awhile. Good luck.
