fav horrors

Most horrors tend to have no story to speak of. They're simply about a group of people who get scared by schit they can't see. Audience is scared by a few absurdly loud sound effect stabs. People die in ridiculous circumstances. Either everyone dies or someone lives for there to be a sequel. Usually involving teenagers who are far too old to still be in school.

+1. Exactly this...

Mine are the ones that don`t take themselves seriously.

Cabin in the woods
Zombieland
Shaun of the dead

Not fond of torture movies

I'm a fan of the classics.

The Exorcist
Salem's Lot
The Entity

Those 3 stand the test of time, as does the original version of "The Omen".

Both are classified as such on IMDB, and both have zombies in them, which could gross-out some people. But yes, its more comedy than horror.

The best horrors were produced during the 70’s’ 80’s and early 90’s. I mean really it had storylines, suspense and were until this day never forgotten; it still lingers in your memory. The new stuff is complete ****e.

Completely agree. They relied more on suspense, and messed with your mind, instead of providing the cheap popcorn scares and "boo" moments that all of today's horror films feature. The worst kind, for me, are the "actual footage" type nonsense like "Paranormal Activity" and the like. How that rubbish manages to scare people is beyond me. "The Blair Witch Project" had that covered, and did a damn good job of it, the first time round.
