I seem to have become a bit of a coffee addict and enjoy a good cup of coffee as well as cappuccino and espresso.
What are some of your best coffee blends which are commercially and locally available?

If you're in Cape Town, check out Rosetta Roastery.
Seriously high quality stuff, and a very cool business (plus the deliver for free in CT, which is a bonus)

To answer your question, I enjoyed their Tijuco Preto, but I see it's finally sold out. Just ordered some Blue Batak which should get here on Friday...

lol @ lived666, all the sugar will kill you.
you should try Seattle coffee some time, much better than wimpy.

I've seen a Seattle at Monte but then I get distracted by the flashing lights and ching ching sounds and forget to get coffee and then usually by the time I remember I'm thirsty I've run out of money :(

"blackgoldmovie" is that the starbucks coffee fight with eithopian farmers?

heard of it didnt knwo there was a movie about it ....

My favourite blend is Wimpy large with 2 x brown sugars

ROFL!

Since a friend of mine brough back some Ethiopian beans last year I prefer Ethiopian coffee above all else.
It's available locally, Woolies sometimes have in stock or there's a place in Brooklyn mall I buy from.

Lavazzo coffee is amazing but for instant coffee, Jacob's reigns supreme.

I have found it's quite nice to blend your own coffee. Just yesterday I mixed Ricoffy with some Koffiehuis, plus some Cremora.

Anybody tried this yet?

Kopi Luwak at Haas (Cape Town)

You can now enjoy a cup of one of the world’s most expensive coffees, Kopi Luwak (R80 a cup or R2 850 a kilogram) at a new boutique roastery and espresso bar in Rose Street, Bo-Kaap, with all its coffees sourced by Strictly Coffee. Kopi Luwak (from Indonesia) is a rare and naturally sweet-tasting bean that has been through the digestive system of the Asian palm civet which removes all traces of bitterness. It has a caramel-chocolate taste and a must-try for your bucket-list. Haas also stocks Jamaican Blue Mountain, which carries a globally protected certification mark of origin, for R60 a cup or R1 824 a kilogram. It has a subtle and nutty flavour with a lightly sweet and floral aftertaste and is our favourite. The espresso bar is attached to the lifestyle design store of hand-made objects, Haas Design Collective. For more details visit www.haascollective.com and www.strictlycoffee.co.za
