375°F is about 190°C and 1 cup/2 sticks of butter is a hair under 250g.

bwana, can a person put any chocolate in the cookies, what i mean is i want the missus to bake some for us and thought she could buy a slab of something and break it up to use as chocolate chips.

Plenty water in them though. What about "candied, half dipped in chocolate carrot" on top of a cookie just before they set?

Try get ones with more cocoa-content. But most will work. Its more a balance of how much chocolate vs cookie dough, as too much chocolate will result in limp cookies sort of as they don't cook for too long, and it just results in the chocolate melting into the cookie dough before it begins setting. Thats at least my experience, but I hardly bake "biscuits"...
