If anyon could assist I would greatly appreciate it!
I have successfully installed the wireless router as my broadband and telephone are working as desired. I however, have connected an additional spliter on the "Phone" outlet on the filter. This is for use to both a physical facsimilie machine and for connection to my PC for WInfax use.
Prior to broadband connection, both these fax mediums worked. This has however not been the case subsequent to broadband activation (and Netgear installation). When dialling a fax number, the number merely dials and then fails to connect. This is also the case with incoming faxes.
I have ensured that all lines first pass hrough the filter, and have even connected fax options directly to the land line without success. Telkom, the land line operator, appears not to know how to solve this issue.
I have been online to see what solutions are available, and it could be that the faxes rund off analogue signals and not digital. perhaps I need a digital-to-analogue converter?
Thanks guys!
