Fear graphics problem

Hi all,

Just want to find out if anyone else has had the problem with F.E.A.R. that i am having.

The level that you have to enter the Armacham secret facility (the chopper crashes) loads but all i see is your team mates sitting on the floor, a guy suspended in mid air and a few chopper blades. Everything else is pitch black and I have no idea what to do or where to go as I can't see anything. The game has played beautifully up till now.

Any suggestions?
 
there is a new patch out but it aint very specific in what it fixes within the game. perhaps try to reload a save game just before that point which you are stuck at and let it replay again?

what video drivers you got by the way? Nvidia 81.85 or ATI 5.11?
 
Hi useless. Ive got the latest catalyst drivers and i've tried everything from loading just before the mission and in the mission. I've seen the patch but I can't warrant downloading such a big file. i've only got a Gb/m on 3g. Thanks for the reply.
 
well, how about you look up a cheat code to skip just a bit forward from where the game freezes. it could help with letting your game carry on since it seems like a script bug or game fault.

No worries dude. At least someone replied. Thanks anyway but i hate cheating. But when i eventually get so pi@%ed off, i will get the level skip cheat. Shot.
 
Dont know if this might help but....Do you have the hud set to fade?

I found on my system, that with it being set to fade, I had a hell of a lot of problems with the graphis, for one, I could not see the menu's when I pressed "esc". As soon as I disabled fade on the hud, it worked like a charm
 
HUD isn't set to fade and all menus work fine. I have succumbed to using the level skip cheat to get past this little problem. Had to skip 2 levels and then it came right. This is very wierd and the patch probably would fix this as I reckon it's a game problem and not a hardware/drivers problem. Thanks guys.
 
will see when i get there in the game... armachan secret facility... still on interval 03....
