Good evening.

I am considering porting from Vodacom to CellC in order to get a nicer phone on upgrade.

Can anyone please report back on CellC network coverage in and around Cape Town? Is it bad, bad enough to deter me from going with CellC?

I'm in the Southern Suburbs.

Thank you.

I'm experiencing problems getting through to CellC numbers during weekends - even SMSs does not go through.

Would this better phone have 3G or HSDPA? If so then there no point porting to cell c since they still dont support it

I've used Cell-C for the last 2 years living in the Southern Suburbs without any hassles. My wife on the other hand can't get reception in our house with MTN...

Due for an upgrade and have decided to stay with Cell-C. Looks like they've really turned it around and service levels seem better than Vodacom/MTN. But maybe thats because they have less members?

Thanks you for your feedback.

Could be, although I've never really needed any service/support. so I don't think bad service will effect me. :)
