Yeah Dk this and DK that is all you hear these days and like 70% of our guild is DKs lvled mine to lvl 68.
Even did a few Dks only instances.

Have to say they make awesome aoe tanks and dpsers.
Tanked as blood spec with no trouble.
Unholy spec dps makes me lol at rogues.
Frost tanking is probably best tank in the game.
Maybe they are supose to be OP cause they are only Hero class?

Kinda felt OP with the DK just felt stupid that theres only DKs around these days.
And there and i missed my Fatowl druid way too much to make him a bank alt.
Glad i played my DK but i think my Druid will still be my main.

Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.” Sun Tzu

DK's suck so bad in Northrend, however they think they are still in outlands.

I did a UK run last night with 3 DK's a priest and myself (Lock) They don't know how to check aggro, they all try and tank different mobs.....

DK is the new Retard class. I'm glad I have plenty of time to lvl mine in the next year or so. Seriously, it's the new kiddies class where they can't play for shyt. And I killed 3 yesterday :D

The Outland greatness has worn off now, and they "think" they are still very OP. They however fail...... badly :D

Going forward I will not group with a DK in a PUG, I will do these instances in my guild thanx

lol and I thought I was alone out there in my opinion.

My shaman has yet to be out dps'd by a DK.
My shaman has Crowd Control. DKs Do not.
Shaman are played by people who like a challenge. DK's are played by kids who like the way a char looks.
I could go on and on and on and on...

...and thats only the shaman class. :rolleyes:

Feel the same about my ballance Druid but dont take me wrong DK can be good in experienced hands and fun but it is the new retard clas hunters use to have bad name cause of all the noobs playing them DKs are gone take that over.

Hell i see more DK than Druid and Shamies on the server put togther.

DK's have over populated our realm in the 100's

However I see allot of themy dying down beyond TBC. The problem with that now is the following:

1. To many of them they can't find groups for instances
2. People don't want them in their groups because they play k@k
3. They are not so OP anymore as the levels progress they start to scale with the other classes and the kids are now crying because they are killed so quickly.

This will blow over. In our guild alone I can recall 10 people last night that had a crap DK in their group and vowed never to PUG with a DK again. Me included.

They are now being alienated and thus the class will die down and we should see less of them. My Lock is just getting stronger and stronger. My Rogue will be the DPS machine in WoTLK if I read the changes correctly. My Shaman has become a DPS GWD himself, all the changes I'm finding in favour of my chars I have.

Going forward I can only forsee the following for my 3 70's.

I think the Shaman has now been brought up to scratch where it lacked before (Enchancement) I will have Hex at lvl 80 which is a CC. Thus I will have a spot in any Heroic/Raid group.

My Rogue will scale nicely with the new +hit and +haste. Thus = more white damage. Rogues will be THE DPS class like they always have been. Blizzard confirmed that Rogues will always be the no1 Melee DPS class.

My Lock (Affliction) has had some exciting changes. Locks have been reworked to move away from the SB spam to actually having to concentrate and work for thier spot in a raid. Blizzard confirmed they want Locks to play Affliction and not Demon (Hunter BM spec) or Destruction (Mage spec). So I forsee some very nice changes to my Affliction Lock in the upcoming patches.

For my 3 classes there is always a spot in Heroic/Raids at lvl 80. That is what I have kept in mind when I selected my alts to level. Next will be my Paladin.

Allot of classes are going to suffer the same effect.

Druids = Healers/Tanks
Warriors = Tanks
Paladins = Tanks/healers
DK's = DPS/second OT
Mage = Ranged DPS+CC
Hunter = Ranged DPS+CC
Priests = DPS/healers
Rogue = DPS+CC
Shaman = DPS+CC

The Bold part being the number one spec to play.

This is how I see it going into WoTLK with all the changes made. And plenty of people are P'd off because of these changes calling it nerf's. But I'm very happy so far :o

I have yet to meet a person at the same lvl as me that outdps' my warro,then again he's pretty meanly geared and I know my rotations

Remember my first Pug with a DK in Utgarde,he was crying for days at how much more dps I did
"Omg first time somebody beats me dps,nerf warriors!"

I tend to go suicidal to show up the aggro machine DK's. Sods trying to tank every mob in sight,whether they're the tank or not. Such a pain,i'm having to hamstring mobs so they don't chase down healers when a DK pulls aggro and runs away

I agree Warriors are insane DPS.

But the amount of players who can really play them as DPS is very very few. I would say 1/1000 can really play a warrior good as DPS. Thus the assuption that they are tanks :o and nothing more.

I am yet to see a good DPS warrior while playing. I have however seen videos of Fury and Arms warriors going ape shyt in Heroics and Raids with insane Crits and topping the Damage Meter. But I have never seen one in game :o

Sadly this is the story,fortunately my Guild knows my skill so if they mention "LF1M DPS for xxx" and i type " <-" my invite is a second away,and the pugs who did bother to invite have been very very happy

Admittedly my talent build isn't the best at the moment for sustaining numbers in 5mans without some splash damage being taken but hey,I built it for solo survival till 80 comes ( and just about everything is cleaving or AOEing these days ;) )

I agree that death knights are mostly a bunch of nubcaeks .. since the proper players all race to 80. (ok i've seen a few lvl 80 DK's around as well - that's just not cricket)

i enjoy my dwarf knight immensely though ... why? I'm glad you asked:

1) I haven't played as a dwarf yet.
2) Through leveling my rogue, i got so pee'd off at all the plate / 2H weapon / axe drops that I couldn't use.
3) i created a draenai pally just to see what it's like to wear plate and be tankable. - he's only lvl 18, so the DK gives me a shortcut to wearing plate.
4) I've always loved RPG's where you acquire kit etc. To me the DK kit is the best looking set there is. IT's waaay better looking than any lvl70 epic set and for once a character looks the part.
5) I'm alternating between him and my rogue to play rest XP only.
6) It's a nice way to get a 2nd lvl 70 (80?) character.
7) It can cast spells and does NOT require mana!

According to what I've noticed, the DK boosts relatively new players to the game through outlands to introduce them to northrend without having to play for 3-4 months (even though they would require an already lvl 55 char). Alot of people have actually raised the point of getting shortcut alts after you have a 70 main.

The instances have been nerfed and outlands questing has been increased by about 30%, this all helps the DK to feel much stronger/faster leveler. I have also noticed in northrend, the DK slows down to be on par with everyone else once again. That's why my DK is purely to faff around with. I doubt i'd even swap out his kit - or at the very least, I will never vendor it off after being replaced.

After finally caving and getting Wrath for EU yesterday I started levelling my shaman again.
Death Knight is... boring. It's probably a very good class but the sedate style of play doesn't really suit me. After finally speccing my shaman Enhancement I have to say Blizzard have done an amazing job with the spec. DPS is fun again now that we have a shiv, a proc-based combo (instant chain lightnings or heals are crazy fun) and some pretty damn uber pets (albeit on a cooldown but they make for a great emergency button). I probably should have just dumped Elemental/Resto a long, long time ago.

I figure there are gonna be enough tanks around of various flavours over Wrath's lifespan. If i ever roll that DK it'll be purely to pvp with.

See I told you they made massive improvements on enchancement. The instant casts are amazing :)

Enchancement is Awesome fun to play especialy after the 3.0.2 patch. None stop grinding, just nuke away then instant heal and move on. Once you mana gets low you use the ability that gives back mana on hit = to your attack power and you just keep going, no downtime what so ever :)

Pitbull ...

i enjoyed subtlety spec on my rogue more than combat (I've never tried assassination), even though it was far less effective for sustained DPS in raids. I figured, as long as I'm enjoy the char - to hell with it.

Since the patch came out I've had trouble with the final move on the subtlety tree which allows you to use stealth attacks. Pretty pointless if you're out of energy and have to keep macro'ing different action bars.

So I figured, let me try combat again for leveling to see what it's like in Northrend. My golly goodness! Shadow-dance is the coolest thing! Sure I miss shadow-step, but this shadow dance is the 1st real AoE type of effect yet. Tied in with Blade fury and you're one mean mofo around mobs.

On single targets it's pretty much an "I-win" button. a one-click button for the entire fight, if you will. It also looks SO NINJA when you keep vanishing and appearing behind the target etc.

Any Idea how well it works in pvp vs spell casters? considering you keep vanishing and appearing behind their backs and out of casting line?

U also have Flurry on your rogue as Combat spec which does damage to 3 mobs in total. I played Sub till about lvl 62 and then went Combat Swords. Since then I have never gone back to Sub spec.

I will stay Combat in WoTLK but I want to play Maces now for a change :o I did the Headless Horse man on my Rogue last time I played him. And tried that shadow dance thing. Was great to see my char jump from one mob to another doing multiple damage :)

Can't wait for my Rogue's turn to lvl :) But for Now it will be my Lock, Shaman and then my Rogue. Might change my mind still but that is how it will be for now :o

Enhance definately is what shaman are about now. It's our 'on' spec in Wrath. It used to be just for levelling and to have around as the token buffer in raids. Main raid spec used to be Resto, but I feel like that's a 'last resort' healer spec, Chain Heal is going to be average and our other heal tools still lag behind the other healers. Elemental is still garbage for both pve and pvp, and moreso it's not fun. Spam lightning bolt over and over pewpewpew kill self out of boredom. But at least enhancement works now, and seems to work very well. I hope that our melee dps will be at similiar levels to other primary melee dps like rogues, and I'm looking forward to seeing how strong a cc, sprint and procced instant heals makes me in pvp.

I can keep up pretty close to the Rogues on the same gear level as me. There is one big problem, the aggro. Rogues can just nuke away and have aggro reducing abillities. We Shamans don't but it does also add it's own bit of flavour to the mix.

I enjoy having to manage my DPS and try and get the most DPS I can without going over on the threat meter. On my Rogue it's easy... pound away and when you get the screen flashing just reduce your threat. On My Shaman if My screen flashes it's just about to late. Our MT knows this though and he really enjoys me playing instance with him. It's a chalenge for him also to keep up aggro and I help him maximise his aggro generating abillity or so he says.

I don't want a threat reducing abillity, the day that happens we will give Rogues a good run for their money. Threat is what is keeping our DPS in check :o

Why put priests number one spec to play as DPS? AFAIK shadow isn't what it used to be but their raid healing is now better than shamans (CoH). I've also tried healing 5 or 6 DK tanks in instances using my pally and I have to agree the players using them are mostly terrible but I think the class will make good tanks once they have figured out how to play.

Their Shadow Spec is very worthy is WoTLK. I prefer Pala's and Druids as healers. Priests are very good at healing yes, but they benefit a group more if you have atleast one Shadow Priest there. So let me back track then and say every Raid group needs atleast one Shadow Priest and one holy priest for healing :D

I can't say DPS over Healing, but there is a need for them in endgame raiding in WoTLK

Staalbal, I always had a hassle with being the Omen champion too soon and had to hold back during boss fights. However, since the new patch, the pally in our group is unbeatable. Our one rogue was in the top 100 on the server at one stage and resorted to doing his tax returns during boss fights to stop him from pulling aggro ... but now with the pally's aggro level, he can go all out dps and not worry. The pally tank's new name is the Threatadin!
