Ferrari's latest addition to their One-Off series./

Ferrari BR20

The Ferrari BR20, the latest addition to the Prancing Horse's One-Off series, joins the most exclusive group in Maranello's range: unique, absolutely bespoke cars crafted to the specifications of a client and designed as a clear expression of their own unique requirements.

The Ferrari BR20 is a two-seater V12 coupé developed on the GTC4Lusso platform, which in terms of its philosophy and styling approach, cleverly references the magnificent Ferrari coupés of the 1950s and 60s, without the slightest hint of nostalgia. Instead, it pulls off the challenging feat of marrying timeless elegance with muscular sportiness, effortlessly incorporating styling themes typical of some of the most iconic 12-cylinders in Ferrari history, including the 410 SA and 500 Superfast.

The GTC4Lusso's two rear seats have been removed to add extra dynamism to the Ferrari BR20's ultra-sleek fastback line. The new car is three inches longer than the original, thanks to a specific rear overhang treatment designed to create a silhouette that beautifully emphasises its proportions. One of the cornerstones of the design process for this one-off was the radical modification made to the cabin volume. This in turn gave the design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, the freedom to conceive the innovative proportions that ultimately produced a powerful yet stylistically coherent exterior design theme.

The new cabin design solution creates the impression of a pair of arches running lengthwise from A-pillar to rear spoiler. The rear volume of the arch has been hollowed out to create an aerodynamic channel with the air outlet concealed by the black rear fascia under the spoiler. This modern take on Ferrari's "flying buttress" theme firmly connects the car to signature Prancing Horse styling cues not just from Ferrari's GT tradition, but also sports cars such as the 599 GTB Fiorano. To visually lighten the cabin, the black paint of the roof visually connects the windscreen to the rear screen, which stands above the surface of the rear tailgate as if to channel the air flow.

Fabulous, aside from the gopping front end and the splitter paraphernalia in the caboose. That leather looks incredible.

Damn................. Okay ferrari is stepping up their game. This is what aston has been failing to do all these years.

Oh i see its a one off, what a shame.
The owner of this will join Eric Clapton, Edward Walson, various Arab sheiks and the ANC cabinet in having the sort of funds needed to commission a one-off Ferrari.

Is Eric the one who commissioned that ugly 458 a few years back? he has no taste.

It was styled in sympathy to the 512BB, which he loved as do I. Using the 458 as a base meant being restricted its glasshouse and other dimensions so yeah bits of it might have been a bit wonky.

Ferrari BR20 Is The Latest One-Off Packing A V12

Ferrari has revealed their latest one-off for an obviously wealthy buyer which has been dubbed the BR20.

The Ferrari BR20 borrows the underpinnings from the GTC4Lusso but it swaps the shooting brake form for a sleek fastback silhouette. The client wanted the design team to infuse some styling cues from Prancing Horses of yesteryear, specifically the era of coupes built during the 1950s and 1960s.

The one-off takes after cars like the 500 Superfast and 410 SA by adopting a long sleek silhouette which makes it three inches (76 mm) longer than the donor car. The majority of the stretch is at the back where the rear overhang has gone through extensive changes.

The front of the car is also vastly different to the GTC4Lusso thanks to a bespoke set of headlights, mounted lower to make the hood seem even more imposing. The grille also received new horizontal slats and the car rides on a set of 20-inch wheels with a diamond finish you won’t find on any other Ferrari.

Inside you will find a plethora of brown leather (in two shades) combined with some classy carbon fibre. As you will see in the images, the rear seats are no longer as they have been replaced with an elegant luggage deck beautifully crafted in oak to hide the cargo area.

Under the sleek bonnet sits the naturally-aspirated V12 sending power to all four wheels. This 6.2-litre unit delivers a healthy 680 horsepower (507 kW) and 697 Nm (514 lb-ft) of torque.

Ferrari BR20 revealed: one-off, GTC4Lusso-based V12 coupe

Ferrari’s four-seater is transformed into this glorious Special Projects car

This is less a ‘new Ferrari’, and more a V12-engined love letter to Maranello’s exquisite run of form in the 1950s and 1960s that resulted in some of the most desirable coupes ever conceived. 500 Superfast, here’s looking at you.

So, welcome to the new Ferrari. It is called the BR20, and it is the latest in a long, fine line of ‘Special Projects’ cars: one-off, entirely bespoke creations built by Ferrari for their exacting owners. This particular love letter begins with the platform from the V12 GTC4Lusso, so a 6.3-litre V12 slung up front developing 681bhp and 514lb ft of torque.

Where the GTC4 is a four-seater moulded in the shape of a shooting brake, the BR20 instead applies a pair of graceful arches that run from A-pillar to the rear haunches to better homage those glorious coupes. We see you, 410 Superamerica.

Those sweeping arches get a slightly more modern postscript in the form of carbon fibre sills running across the lower flanks to better emphasise the BR20’s performance credentials. It is, after all, a platform capable of delivering 0-62mph in just 3.4s via Ferrari’s trick four-wheel-drive system.

The arches themselves incorporate a pair of aero channels at the rear; a “modern take on Ferrari’s ‘flying buttress’ theme” that not only visually name-check the cars Ferrari aficionados get gooey about, but also the ones able to turn your internal organs into goo. Step forth, 599 GTB Fiorano.

The roof is painted black to visually connect both windscreen and rear screen, the latter standing “above the surface” of the rear for better airflow. There’s a redesigned rear bumper, and taillights “that create a visual dialogue” with the exhaust pipes which are set inside a new diffuser.

New face, too. Ferrari says a “virtually endless list of elements was designed specifically for the BR20”, including the new, slimmer headlights that are lower than those on the regular GTC4, adding to the bonnet’s sense of occasion.

New Ferrari BR20 is one-off V12-powered two-seat coupe

New V12-powered model based on GTC4 Lusso features dynamic styling inspired by Ferraris of 1950s and 1960s

The new Ferrari BR20 is a V12-powered two-seat coupé based on the GTC4 Lusso that is the latest addition to the firm’s ultra-exclusive One-Off series.

The styling takes inspiration from 1950s and 1960s Ferrari coupés, with cues that nod to the 410 Superamerica and 500 Superfast.

It was designed as the newest coachbuilt one-off project for one of the Italian firm’s “longstanding clients”.

The BR20 has been built on the platform of the GTC4 Lusso grand tourer that recently went out of production but has been extensively reworked. Most notably, it's longer than the original to allow for the addition of a bold rear overhang, including an aerodynamic air channel, rear spoiler and exhausts built into the lower diffuser.

At the front, it features a reworked, widened front grille including unique horizontal slats and an upper carbonfibre element that links to other recent One-Off models.

Ferrari’s Special Projects team does it again with the one-off BR20

There’s an age old adage that goes something like “He who commissions his own bespoke Ferrari, hath made it…” or something to that affect. Okay, maybe I made that up, but that really should be a thing. No one in the super/sportscar world does bespoke commissions quite like Ferrari, and the latest addition to this realm of “unique, absolutely bespoke cars crafted to the specifications of a client and designed as a clear expression of their own unique requirements” is no exception. Say hello to the Ferrari BR20.

Based on the GTC4Lusso’s platform, the BR20 is a two-seater V12 coupé that harkens back to the exquisite Ferrari coupés of the 1950s and 60s. Drawing on styling cues from legends such as the 410 SA and 500 Superfast, BR20 perfectly brings together timeless elegance and modern, muscular sportiness.

While the BR20 is three inches longer than the GTC4Lusso upon which it is based, the rear seats have been removed in order for the designers to pen it’s fastback roofline, the cornerstone of the BR20’s remarkable proportions and breath taking silhouette.

Ferrari BR20 revealed as one-off fastback based on the GTC4Lusso

What do you get if you take the most practical Ferrari and make it less practical but more beautiful and totally exclusive? The answer, in this case, is the Ferrari BR20, which is a one-off creation based on the GTC4Lusso platform.

The BR20 is the latest car to join Ferrari’s exclusive group of bespoke cars that were created for the unique requirements and desires of one very well-heeled owner.

Although its unique fastback design takes some inspiration from Ferrari coupes of the 1950s and ‘60s, the Italian sportscar maker believes it does this without even the slightest hint of nostalgia.

“Instead, it pulls off the challenging feat of marrying timeless elegance with muscular sportiness, effortlessly incorporating styling themes typical of some of the most iconic 12-cylinders in Ferrari history, including the 410 SA and 500 Superfast,” Ferrari said.

It added that the GTC4Lusso’s two rear seats were removed to add extra dynamism to the new creation’s sleek fastback silhouette. The BR20 is 7.6cm longer than the original, thanks to a specific rear overhang treatment designed to create a silhouette that emphasises its proportions.
