Car enthusiasts evert your eyes! A collision between a Ferrari 360 spider and VW Golf saw 2 people sustain minor injuries only. The collision occurred earlier this morning in Honeydew.

I cannot find a pic of the polo to decide on the winner ...

I don't think the Ferrari is has damaged has it looks, ...... wonder if bean managed to fix his Mclaren

Engine is safe(I think)
100-200k damage not bad, not sure if the insurance will pay if he was racing a polo/golf.

Got a feeling thats more than R200k damage.. No idea what Ferrari spare parts cost(probably astronomical) but if that was an Audi that is R200k worth of damage right there...

Buddy, that's way over R200k in damages if labour's included. Just the front bumper, excluding any brackets and whatnot, is around R20k in the US, so probably double if not more here.
There are water radiators on either side and they go for around R20k each as well (Including their fans).
The inner frame structures are about R100k, which some of probably survived the accident.
Lots of gaskets and other little bits and bobs that end up adding up to a decent amount as well.

Oh, and remember, the airbags went too, so there goes quite a bit of cash as well.

about 15 years ago i scraped the door of my dads car
went to the panel shop to go pick it up and there was a diablo on the lift bubbled wrap
except for the front bumper and one of the wheels

the guy said that tthe driver hit a kerb or something and damaged the bumper and the wheel needed to be replaced
total cost 15 years ago was about 150k
so i doubt that the ferarri will cost 200k

Lambo's are funny in that their bumpers need to be imported from the factory, painted. The front of a Murcielago goes for around R180k after shipping and whatnot, if I remember correctly. Very expensive bits. It seems Ferrari are a tad less fickle with their panels.

Edit - A quick Google says they go for $20 000.

The article mentions a collision between a Ferrari and a Golf. Where is a Polo involved?

Sad to see a Ferrari in that state. No doubt he would've been speeding, and the driver in the Golf probably changed lanes without thoroughly checking if the lane was clear.

pigspotter on twitter has pics of both cars ....dont have access to twitter now to post pics

and why would anyone assume it was the polos fault ...if it was he better have good insurance

and well could be the ferraris fault ...
