It's all good and well to go for the tests if it's going to give you some form of peace of mind but don't plan your lives according to the results. If she's using the pill correctly your chances of getting pregnant are very slim and doesn't reflect on your ability to have kids.
In our instance my wife suffered from severe endometriosis to the point where she actually started fainting. Gynae at the time told us our chances of getting pregnant were basically zero and sent me for tests which came back that I had low mobility. As part of my wife's treatment he put her on medical menopause for a year. On advice we decided to see a specialist gynae for endometriosis when this was over.
To our dismay he shot down my wife's treatment completely calling it outdated. The solution he offered was quite simple, get pregnant. As we wanted to have kids she stopped the pill and a month later we got confirmation the first was on her way.
Back on the pill after that, no more endometriosis, and when we decided to try for the second it was the same. A month after stopping we got confirmation he was on his way.
I've since been snipped and the only test I consider now is to make sure I'm not able to have kids. Wife is back on the pill as well.
