how does adsl work like its only in southafrica is it possible to get it in onther part of africa and have the same speeed what do you need to get a adsl and share it giving the same speed etc basically how to get adsl and share with fwnds in onther country

Dude i am trying i just want to know how the adsl system works. How does South Africa get its Adsl Connection and then supply it to its customers cause here where i live right next to South Africa. A country Called Malawi we have wireless broadband which works on radio Waves we use a vsat (Vitural Satalite Anntena) to get data from space and then send out through Access Points But i want to know how South Africa does it as i heard that they get extreme download Speed and there connection doesn't die out very rare where as in malawi our net is down every few hours cause of the Access Points. Any answers?

Over here, we've got landline ADSL via Telkom (up to 4Mbps). You can also go with Neotel (which uses Wimax and goes up to 2.1Mbps). Alternatively you can go with wireless providers like iBurst or one of the mobile service providers like MTN or Vodacom (which offers HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps). Not exactly the fastest in the world but as you said, the connection doesn't die out too often here.

And how to they manage to get MTN or Vodacom (which offers HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps). and provide to their customers they use a landline cable to connect online 24/7 to the telkom server which gets info through a satalite dish ? because we are trying to bring something fast in malawi and b4 we proceed we would like some idea's what to get to give our customers here fast internet because when we use Access points to share the info its extermely slow and goes down every now and then
