Fiber in Rustenburg

Can anyone maybe tell how long you think it will take for Fiber to be installed in the majority of rustenburg. Btw im living in a complex close to the mall. Im thinking of getting Airspeed wireless but dont wont to pay the R3000 rand installation fee and then be able to get fiber in the next year.

i wouldnt sign any long term contracts................ what you can do is you guys should approach an FNO like Evotel (www.evotel.co.za) and i say just one because in this game it's all about the interest & uptake, then get enough signatures and interest and then sending it thru to them for consideration.

Evotel phase 1 roll-out to happen in Safarituine, Protea Park and Cashan.

Construction will apparently start on Monday. They expect all 3 areas to be live in 8 to 10 weeks....
 
openserve not active in yet? don't have clue when they start the rest.

Any updates on this? Its been 10 weeks and I still have dial up, no fibre here

Apparently Herotel's wayleaves have been approved. Hopefuly not long until someone starts installing....
 
Openserve telkom's chomy is totally useless either

I've got a 1000mbs pre-order with you guys on the Evotel network. I'd prefer FF or Evotel, because Herotel is limited to 100mbps...

I will end up placing an order with FF, Evotel, Herotel and Openserve. Whoever gets here first can take my money.

We are pleased to announce that we have successfully concluded our talks with the municipality and have been permitted to return to Rustenburg!

Civil notifications carrying information regarding the build are already being distributed to the community, so keep an eye out for our teams. We look forward to finally continuing with our build and trenching should begin soon.
