Hi,

Getting 100/50mbps fiber on Monday. I am an Asus fan, what is a good modem to get for the fiber? I have an Asus rt-5300, but yeah it is only a router.

That will work fine, you don't need a fibre port. It's ethernet handover.

It's not called a modem btw, you'll probably just need a router with an Ethernet WAN port.

I use the asus 5300 ac with my connection. Excellent router.
Just plug the ethernet cable from the cpe into the wan port. It's the separate port on the left on the back.
