Howzit guys

I need abit of help here. :D

I have the privilege to install fiber in my house, but i'm struggling to choose a service provider and to chose the right speeds. I had a look at the 20Mbps option but it has a 20/20 and a 20/2 range.

I want to choose the 20/20 option but can I game online comfortably with a 20/2 option:confused:

The other question is, which service provider do i choose? these are the ones i can choose from:

- mweb
- cell c
- web africa
- vox
Thanks

For gaming, speed shouldn't be an issue - I used 2Mb/s before, currently on 4, all worked fine.

All you need is a low as possible ping (200ms to Europe, or less) and very low jitter. Works very well for online racing.

cs:go/dota use like 20kbps, it's not about speed but stability.

If you can afford the 20/20 go for it.

If not the 20/2 will be OK.

VOX !!!!

the reason for why i included the 20/2 its because it gives me more of a variety to choose from. Some service providers ask a R1000 activation fee, depending on the length of the contract and the speeds. Some of them don't ask for the activation fee. So by know i can or cant play with a 20/2 speed, will save me the troubles of kicking myself lol:D

Crystal Web is great, and I will also say this about Afrihost - whilst streaming went to the crapper and their support is horrible, I never had a day's issues with gaming with them.

I used Plugg too before and they were good with gaming, but their star rating throttle system is so harsh that you can barely use them for anything else.

Those ISPs are not available to him... see the OP.
