I am currently streaming on 30/30 fibre using IPTV. I am using Mecool KM9 Pro classic, connected directly by ethernet cable to Asus router. I have upgraded from 30/10 as we got regular interruptions of signal. I still get interruptions . We are only 2 people in the house, only cellphones on wifi (2.5). Mecool connected to 5 GHz. Help with troubleshooting will be appreciated

So is it just your IPTV that buffers?

Most often it is your IPTV's server bandwidth that is insufficient for the number of customers they are serving. They sell a lot of cheap IPTV subscriptions, but as the users increase, so does the buffering.

This. If speed tests and other apps are fine then it's safe to presume its a particular app / service that's the issue.

So having said that, is there a good reliable paid service locally?

Not really to be honest, it's typically down to high latency and window scaling. Most of the time on the streaming device.

I am looking at IPTV app - it seems it might play a role

Servers in Europe, America etc. that don't have a local CDN distribution network, and our often atrocious overseas cheap as the proverbial chips routing contribute a large part of the issue.

Edit:

Busy looking at setting up a Plex/Emby server, as normal download protocols are more resilent than streaming protocols. Bit more hassle, but seeing as the the internet locally is optimised to for file downloading, guess, I will have to make the best of the system they provide.

I upgraded my fibre to 30/30. Disconnected ethernet cable from tv box and connected via wifi - much better with lot less buffering, It doesn't make sense but it is better.
