Fibre Line Migration MFN

I recently canceled my fibre package with another ISP and moving to Afrihost.
I have a device which is both the ONT and router all in one.
I have put in an order with Afrihost, but my order was changed to a migration (which seems like the correct option) after some support.

As I understand, all that need to happen is my line needs to be activated.
I'm not quite sure why this takes up to 5 days?
Will this device still be fine with Afrihost?
The backbone provider didn't change (MFN)
I just want to get back online as quickly as possible as I work from home.
