Hi
I am renting out a garden flat connected to the main house where I stay.
I have a Fibre 10Mb line for myself at the moment with Capped account as uncapped throttling does not work for me.
Giving the flat internet would be a plus point.
I can, with my current fibre router give them GUEST wireless access, but with this I can only limit them to a x-Mb/s line so they don't kill my line while I am streaming. This option has no way of limiting their usage when lets say they reach past 50GB a month.
So my questions is:
1) Must I get something like a mikrotik router to control bandwidth usage? Or any other option....?
2) Is their any way that they can get their own ISP and pay just for data (basically we share a modem then). I know you can do this with ADSL by setting up the PC to PPOE connection, just not sure if this is possible for Fibre as well. (But then we might have a problem with cellphones then which only has wifi)
(I have a ARCHER D2 Fibre Modem connection via Wireless Router Mode at the moment)
