They aren't doing it for charity. The R3600 helps to pay for the network costs. Imo dropping it would be bad for them as well as that's what's been getting most signups. Without it they won't be able to expand as rapidly. I just don't know if the number of people on paid packages has an effect on whether they roll out.On the other hand 123net will make a name for themselves keeping the 5/1 free contract, they will become famous and that will facilitate more big contracts.

Also, do you plan to send out an official communication via email regarding the info you have shared about the signed contracts?
I think what 123Net should do is take out an ad in the local newspaper wherever an area has reached the target number. Would help get people to return their contract and also get additional customers on board.I hope they do it by Email. Will be most effective in reaching people.
It would be nice to have a running commentary about the amount of contract out standing, also send us a flyer that we can do post box drops for in the area, something that looks good in black and white or if we have the means to print it in colour then we have that to. I wouldnt mind printing out 50 or 100 and doing a door to door post box run
A question for the network administrators I understand that the is no shaping or throttling or even fair use grouping, what about priority usage in terms of gaming and streaming. Destiny (PS and Xbox) uses p2p protocols are these protocols restricted or importance lessened
Also once they are in the area getting business contracts would be easier
I havent seen anyone post any questions for the tv service they are advertising on the website, is this coming to south africa? will it be 3d or 4k ready?
123Net needs to target our mall. Simply because the sheer amount of people moving through there is amazeballz for business. It would also allow places like wimpy and spur for example to sport a 100mb connection in their restaurants without those silly shaping limits.
123net will start trenching at the mall, that in itself would be an advertisement. Wink wink 123net wink wink
Just put up a poster near the digsite. That says THE FIBRE REVOLUTION BEGINS HERE!
Adding a from price with line speed would really make people go bananas
The free package and Megabit 10 package are temporarily off the website as per our investors' instruction, but they are still valid choices in the contracts that we have sent out. Although our hand has been forced on this matter, we do not plan on retracting them permanently.
Ok thanks, so you will continue sending out contracts with them?
At this stage I am waiting for confirmation of any changes to future contracts. The free package is a big part of our original business model though, and we are doing everything we can to make sure that we are still able to offer it going forward. I promise I will keep you guys updated on this matter as much as I can!
