I just grabbed the domain for in case. Can transfer if need be, otherwise creating a site to capture all information with a survey is a fairly simply task. Great existing applications out there.

Of course, but it's just an observation. Groups don't work so well. Pages have been more effective and I can see that from just the first few weeks. The biggest mistake I made was going with the group rather than a page.
I am not on facebook, but I'll drop you a PM when I've got something running. (Will get an example up somewhere today)
If I recall correctly, you originally arranged the 123net thing in Secunda? Once I get going we can set up a collaboration platform/emails to fine tune the stuff.
All that being said, there was an earlier post about a website. If someone already has a proof of concept or something running we shouldn't do double work. I have no issues with getting this running, but we shouldn't split the potential interested parties
You can use the questions from our initiative's survey. Also look at the vumatel or crystalweb survey (and others) to see the questions they ask. Also try to keep it simple and make the minimum number of questions compulsory, focus on trying to get emails and addresses.
I used Google forms which worked fine, however I would have loved some function that placed a pin on a map when someone enters an address. This makes sure people enter a correct address. Or alternatively split it up in street number, name, suburb and complex name. Some people just enter a street name or suburb name which does not really help with planning.

In the interest of keeping people up to date that don't use facebook. Here is a speedtest posted on 123net's page sent in from a customer in Umhlanga. It is on the gigabit 50 plan showing the speed for local use.

In the light of transparency Kalin needs to make a statement ... I'm sure they have internet in Bulgeria or at least that's what I'm told

They have the cheapest internet per Mbps in the world, I think.
This is my screenshot and I was fortunate to have this installed on the 12th of October after many months of waiting. The waiting was not down to 123's lack of trying but the municipality and two different body corporates, one ridge management and the other my apartments. Just be patient and you will get your fibre, I am sure your areas have simlar issues they have to deal with. Sadly getting anything done in SA is always a tedious process that can take Months.
123net had already laid the cabling back in March but due to legal and normal process were only able to actually bring it into my apartment this month, and 123net want fibre in ever home as this is there source of income and without it they will not last. So get behind them, get postive and you will get your fibre.
So yes 123net is not a myth - they do exist

I just want Kalin to clarify what their requirements are to rollout for a general area. Do they need signed contracts or just general interest and is it linked to the size of the area under consideration (population wise)?
