Fibre speeds too low through WiFi

I have an Archer D7 router, 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connected through MWEB fibre 50/50 Mbps
All my Wifi connected devices have a speed of around 1Mbps to Zero, this has happened over the past two weeks and occurs on both 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz. There are occasional brief bursts of high transfer rate using MyBroadband Speed Test but at those times Neither YouTube nor facebook photos load due to 'slow data' transfer speed
My PC on ethernet cable is fine
I have run a number of software based WiFi Analysing tools. The 2.4Ghz shows my signal strength around -45 dbm which is higher than other folk in the vicinity at around -70 dbm. I can run either with auto channel select or fixed but notice no difference. There are no other contenders on 5Ghz but I have the same poor performance.
I have run a new modem but not connected to the fibre to compare signal strength and volatility. This is lower signal strength and higher volatility.
Does anybody have ideas or possibly point me to a service provider who can identify and hopefully solve the issue

Connected via the cable the data transfer rates are fine ~50Mbps

I found the problem to be that the router is not always encoding the data even though it is sending out a reliable signal.
Time for a new router !!

I was going to suggest:

Seems to be not supported.
There is some activity in the openwrt forum

Check if there is new firmware available.

Time for a new router !!

I have had 2 client Archers "die" on me. They would act odd, or not route traffic, or become seemingly confused if I put too much traffic through it. The first one was a few months old, so they returned for a new one that did the same in the end.

I opted to get a dedicated switch for the LAN based computers and only used the Archer for Wifi. It is still running in that configuration.
