I agree, that is a terrible ping for Fibre

Tested again, ping running ok. PC firewall sometimes causes a slow ping.

On a Vox package, capped 500GB. Supposed to be 100Mbps.

i was getting similar speeds, but Fibrehoods for me now is down. apparently they are doing maintenance (quite why they do it early evening is beyond me). i hope their maintenance does not result in slower speeds

It's quite possible the splitters on the PON networks aren't allocating the correct port speeds, the current head-end kit supports up to 2.5G per physical port which is then split up to the households.

what he is saying is that you are loosing 8mb/s somewhere down the line, which you should not be loosing on fibre

As for Hellkom my ADSL now started syncing at 9mb down and 500k up. Thats on the router not a speedtest.

It seems their plan to make 10mb fiber seem like a viable option is by degrading ADSL service ( my line was syncing at 20mb down and 750k up a week ago and was 20mb down and 1mb up a few months ago.)
