Hey guys,

So I have given these people 3 months to return my installation cost. I paid over R2000 for installation on a 20mb line. The 1st visit was about 2 weeks later. Happy for them to arrive, I took the day of work to assist if needed. Line of sight was not established and they vowed to return the next day.

Fast forward 3 weeks.

They returned with surety that they have LOS. Took the day off work again, Arnold and his assistant spent the best part of a day trying to get LOS, only to realize, there is a building between their sector and my house.

As he left, he assured me they would make it a priority and get back to me. A month later, after mailing them and calling them numerous times, I called it quits.

I sent the cancellation report in September 2019. I have sent about 5 mail followups and requested my money back. As of right now, I still have not received anything from these guys.

I am now giving this chance till month end. If my money is not returned by end November, I will be opening a case of theft against these goons. Hopefully that would get them to pay me back.

Anyone else ever had a positive dealing with these guys?

I certainly haven't heard any good things about them. Not to be confused with FireStream a similarly crappy provider.
 
Hi Arnold, just out of curiosity is LOS internet the only option you have in your area? And if so wouldn’t it have been better to maybe try WireULink, they are a bit more reputable in that market segment I would think. I myself used to have a LOS internet which was done by Vox Telcoms and I must say was really happy with it until a huge complex was built in front of my home.I would have recommended Vox for LOS but I believe they don’t offer it anymore. Anyways best of luck getting your cash back hope it pans out
 
Fibrestream/Skyfi - Stay away from them same company. Today was a month's struggle and waste of my time with them just to install a dish and get it working. It was also Arnold.

My post a few min ago:

So 5 weeks ago I signed up for a 20mbps wireless package. Took a week to call me for an installation.


  1. Week 1: Technician came with a large AirFibre Dish, found "CLEAR" line of sight to the tower. He found out that there was only 2 Access Points on the tower one facing west and the other facing east when there should be one facing North to me so they did not get a connection. They arranged for an Access Point to be installed facing directly to my house. I had to call to reschedule.
  2. Week 2: Called and called and probably left my number about 4 times and they said they will call me back in the same day each day.
  3. Week 3: Same as week 2
  4. Week 4: Got a schedule after speaking to some lead position at their operations, technician was supposed to arrive at 13:00, he arrived 16:30 and told me he didn't look at the time and he couldn't install and it also started raining.
  5. Week 5: The first technician came again this time with a much smaller PowerBeam Dish probably 4 times smaller. They tried and tried for 2 hours to get the installation done and he kept telling me he cannot get a signal. After another hour trying on different locations still no result. He contacted the other technicians who were on the tower waiting to do fine alignment and asked them to send a picture of the Access Point's view as first person and which degrees it was facing. It was INDEED facing north straight towards my house. BUT... That Access Point was literally facing straight into a huge building probably around 50-80m away rendering that Access Point completely useless to even other customers. So they cancelled the contract and told me there is nothing they can do.
Huge waste of my time.
