We opened a business account with ABSA about a year ago. Everything they asked for was submitted, etc. Yesterday, when trying to pay the shop rent, I got an error. My wife phoned them and they said it was because the account has not been FICA'd. What BS?! Surely the FICA act was already running when we opened the account? Why did we not get any requests or notices about this? Can somebody who has a better understanding of this than me, please try and explain why this happened? Should I complain on hellopeter or something?
