Any1 know for sure if FIFA 08 will be available on the PS2???

I'm deffnitly not gonna buy the PS3 yet, and with Man U nearing the TREBLE, I'd love to have a FIFA game to keep me occupied for the coming season :D
And NO, I dont want the XBox 360.
 
Whats wrong with 2007? Cant you rename players/create your own if your favourite team changes it's roster?

FIFA 2007 is brilliant, but you tend to get a bit tired of it after what, 15 seasons of career mode? And I really dont have time to manually go and update all the transfers (No internet gameplay option available, sorry)

I love the FIFA presentation and stuff, so hopefully we get the 2008 version on PS2 with all the new transfers, kits, stadia (Old Trafford now has quadrants EA, please dont forget the quadrants) and maybe something that we havent seen before in the FIFA series... who knows?

But is FIFA 08 coming to the PS2???

Rather saving up for PS3 (but not buy it yet, only when it becomes the norm of every third household) than splash out cash for the XBox 360...

Yep FIFA will come out Octoberish, but I'm longin for it already

Why not? It costs almost half of what the PS3 is and besides, FIFA and most other games look best on the X360 believe or not.

I would rather wait for the FIFA08 & PES7 games to be out later this year as they will be more refined for the X360/PS3, you wont see much of a difference on the PS2 though.

I dont deny XBox360 is MUCH betta than the PS2, but I'm all for PS3 WHEN it gets cheaper...

If I havta go n buy an XBox 360 + FIFA 08 then I'm lookin at spendin around R4500 (approximately)

Now if I just buy the FIFA 08 for PS2, it'll set me back about R400... which keeps me on track for saving for PS3 and probably get FIFA 09 on it :)

Who else is in my situation:
Loves the FIFA series, wants a PS3, dont have enough yet, wants FIFA 08 on PS2 to keep me buzy in the interim, dont want XBox 360 cos savin for PS3. :o

So you are either going to have to pickup a Xbox 360 or PS3... Either way at least you will be entering the next generation instead of hanging onto to old tech :D...

As was mentioned though it will look better on the 360 most probably as EA are developing on the 360 and porting to the PS3 for now. Install base is bigger for the 360 is all.

Doesn't having a slot for it on gamespot mean that it will be released :confused:

Yep they got no box art, but I'm not expecting any yet... they do say:

"By: EA Sports
Genre: Soccer Sim
Release Date: Q3 2007
Also On: PS3 | PSP | XBOX | X360 | DS | WII"

So hopefully... hopefully it will be available on PS2

talk about missing the blatantly obvious I didn't realise I was on the PS2 page..

Sorry.. yeah it looks like it will be out on the PS2. I still recommend upgrading though for full functionality.

Upgrade = PS3 for me :p a bit later on in life
