I donno if it's a requirement or something that it must be in the logo, but I think it's some FIFA logo. It's in the germany logo, and there was one in the Korea Japan logo aswell.mooK said:

Not bad. I mean its just a logo, but i was hoping for something more really. Looks a bit like a work in progress to me... :|
edit: The ceremony looked good though. Professional and slick.
Why, though, did Thabo have to say we will make the best World Cup ever?? For it just to go off without any hitches and be a success would be great!

I bet most of the people here could improve that logo in photoshop...I agree the font is :| and it does look like work in progress but still it's not too bad....was expecting better though.

Just had another look at it now, and have to agree it with mooK. It's a good idea, just too 'messy' and busy.

agree with mook, logo is somewhat busy... not all that balanced either although one should bear in mind it is the kind of logo that doesnt require too much of a life span.

Yeah but its our first world cup and you'd expect that they try to do everything perfectly from the start...i know its just a logo but it does send out a message about us...if u compare germany's logo with ours you'll see that theirs looks better..well thats just my opinion anyway.
