Fifa World Cup 2026

Funny, there's pics out there of various Norway players pointing to the cable.
The Norwegian coach didn't even see anything. He claims he was just told by someone else. I actually watched the entire game, and at no stage was anything said about it, nor did anyone run to the ref and point to the cable. I have, however, seen a lot of players looking and pointing upwards throughout the tournament - at something they've seen on the screens.

Yet there's no actual footage of the ball hitting anything. Nor any footage from the skycam shaking when the ball is meant to have hit the cable that stabilises it. Even the sensor in the ball - that picked up contact with a player's hair to disallow a goal - apparently wasn't able to detect it hitting a cable under tension?

If anything, this is people being salty because Sorloth didn't square it to the best striker in the world during a 2v1, and instead saw his name in lights and tried to go for the shot on his own.

Yes watched the game to the end. There was a reason the Norwegian manager went to speak to the ref at ht.
I tend not to take what commentators say as the gospel they tend to have subconscious bias or just not know all facts.
There's no data from the sensor that indicates it hits anything (yet can detect it hitting human hair?), nor any footage from the skycam after its cable gets hit. The manager has already stated that he didn't see anything - someone just told him about it.

IF it had actually hit the cable, it would've been very obvious: the ball would've drastically altered it's trajectory. It didn't, though. It just followed a natural curve to the ground.

Like with all sports, from F1 to rugby or whatever, I will support whoever plays against England. Hell I would probably support Kim Jong Un aka Nuke Skywalker in a war against the English
