Fifa worldcup 2014 Goal line Technology

It's great. However, what I would prefer is technology that distinguishes when a soccer player was sufficiently interfered with illegally to cause him to fall (fouled) from the theatrical Hollywood style shot-in-the-back collapse in the penalty area. Annoys me to no end when these guys lose all sense of muscle motor-skill and turn all spaghetti at the faintest of touches or impending touch in the attempt to secure a penalty.... Heck, Rugby players are sometimes still mobile with several opponents hanging onto their every limb...

Well duh! That is why the follow soccer and not sports with more complicated rules like rugby, cricket or women's volleyball.

This and the endless backchat to refereers are the biggest reasons why i just never will enjoy this crap sport.

A few billion people would disagree. It is universally appealing, there is no size requirement for players and pitch size, and its one of the cheapest and enjoyable sports to play..... Hence its enormous popularity as opposed to other sport.

Can't say the same thing about many other sport.

Used to be worse in the past - TV has helped to catch out the fakers.

In quite a few of the games I've seen people simply get up and play on, and in one game (can't remember which), the player waved play on and indicated 'no foul' in the penalty area.

Oh, i can understand that.

Soccer have this unwritten rule: Try and con the referee as much as possible.If you succeed,you'll be rewarded with an unfair advantage.The whole backchatting thing to me is pointless.Was there ever a case where these spoiled brats' tantrums lead to a different outcome?

The intelligence of these billions of supporters are questionable. Last night with the France game, the commentators and supporters didn't understand their own sport's goal tech.Me, a casual watcher of only some WC games , immediately understands the "no goal", then "goal" thing.

Rugby and cricket will be niche sports forever. Even women's beach volleyball will catch the attention of at least half the worlds population.

And not all of us like to get sweaty in a scrum with other guys :p .
