Hey Guys,
I am trying to redo my sound system in the figo but not sure what to go with because I have a few rough scetches of the back board I want to setup but not sure what will be best,

System that I want to install contains the following:
2x 6x9" 450W on the back board,
4x 5x7" (still have to deside on watts)
2x 13" subs 1000W each,
a Cap,
Engine Fuse is 80W,
8 Gauge wire,
Eq that I want to install
1x Mono Block (Not sure what size yeat)
1x Amp (Also not sure what size yeat looking at a 3000W)

I want to install 2 new amps as well but not really sure on amp size on the moment I have a 1800W amp in on my subs and just 2 door speakers,

The setup for the amps and cap that I have I want to setup as per the diagram but not sure if it is right or if I should move my cap to the back of the board because I want it in front above my sub.WhatsApp Image 2018-06-04 at 11.39.53(1).jpegWhatsApp Image 2018-06-04 at 11.39.53(2).jpegWhatsApp Image 2018-06-04 at 11.39.53(3).jpegWhatsApp Image 2018-06-04 at 11.39.53.jpeg

Makes sense.

Go with premium split-systems rather than 6x9's and 5x7's. These will fit in existing mounting holes.

My R199 Sansui split systems are about 10 years old and make Pioneer 6x9's sound like mids :D

True, the built in crossovers on 6x9's are schite. Infact any built in crossover is going to suck. Get something with a decent external crossover. Makes a huge difference.

Ok so just to make sure I throw the 5x7' speakers for the door and get a split system just for front? and I want something for the back board as well that's where the 6x9' would of gone in to.

Also I'm not using the pre-installed radio that came with the car (When I bout the car it had no radio due to it being second hand).

I also forgot to mention that most of the stuff on the list I already have, the only things I do not have is the 2 Amps and the 4x 5X7' speakers. The 6x9' my sister bought but then gave to me because she bought the wrong speakers.

Get a good wiring setup, preferably 0 gauge for power and ground. Rather get a split system instead of the normal speaker for the front. Also I originally had two 12s in a flea market box in my car. Eventually I gave the one to my brother and built a spec box for the remaining one. Sounds way better in a spec box. It's cheaper if you can DIY the box. Get builders to cut it to spec and youbl assemble it.

Read up on Google about power, RMS, etc and how to correctly match amps and speakers together, etc before buying anything.

Cool I was planning on building a box for when I get pioneer Subs for the setup, and I will switch to the 0 gauge wire instead as well. I don't want to under compensate power withdrawal for the system.

Good idea, when buying the cable check the actual copper size, some places will sell you a cable that's got a thick rubber insulation around the wire but a thin wire inside. I made the mistake of putting incorrect fuses and wiring initially. I put a good quality 0 gauge wire and fuse setup and never had problems again.

There's a software program, that you input your subwoofers specs (power, RMS, voicecoil, etc). It will then give you a size/dimensions of a spec box. Check Google, can't really remember the name now.

I had two Pioneer subs initially, then moved to two targas after burning the voice coils on the pioneers, then now to one targa. I would say that the one targa in a spec box is almost as loud as having two targa in the flea market box. Sounds way better too. Maybe because its superwood not chipboard.

Plus side is that when I had two subs in, I used to have severe voltage drop, lights dimming etc. Now with one it makes almost the same amount of noise, uses less power and no more lights dimming. I also had a capacitor on my previous setup and it helped slightly. Only way to fix it permantly is upgrading the alternator/big 3 upgrade.

Anyway good luck with your setup.

Well if you want the best out of your sub, You need to build your box according to the Resonant frequency of your vehicle.

If you got the money , don't buy all this cheap end brands like pioneer, targa, sony etc. jump straight for the brands like DD,MMATS,Fi,Mosconi . Think Ground Zero still make decent stuff.

Put split system front and rear, change the 13" boot space wasters to 2 8/10" active low profile subs and mount those under passenger seat or something. Otherwise you just get a noisy mess.
