Hi guys

I accidentally deleted a folder, and i need to get it back. please help!!!!

I just used TestDisk, but can someone tell me why there is no undelete option for the linux partition, is it because there are no longer any files to recover from it, because there are files to recover from the NTFS partitions.

Recover them to a different disk/partition.

You NEVER recover to the same drive you are working from. By writing one file back it could overwrite the space where the other deleted files are stored so you only gonna fsck things up even more.

Do you mean same drive or partition?

Depends, if you are recovering an entire disk do it to a separate disk. If you are recovering from a single partition do it to a different disk or partition.

I ran TestDisk from windows partition and it says that there are no partitions for some reason. But if i could ask, would there be some sort of time in which to recover deleted items before they get overwritten, i ask this because its been a couple of days since the directory was deleted, and i've been trying ever since to recover it.

Time is not the issue, continued usage of the disk is.
